Too $hort discovered rapper Spice 1, who was born in Texas before moving to California. Spice 1 debuted with Let It Be Known in 1991, in 1992 he released the self titled Spice 1. In 1993 he returned with 187 He Wrote. In 1994 Amerikkkas Nightmare was released featuring 2Pac on Jealous Got Me Strapped and songs like Strap On The Side and Hard To Kill with Method Man, You Done Fucked up dissed Poohman. In 1995 1990 Sick was released featuring MC Eiht on 1990 Sick (Kill Em All). In 1997 The Black Bossalini was released featuring Big Syke, WC, Mack 10, Yukmouth, Ice T and Too Short. In 1998 A Hits album was released and in 1999 Immortalized featuring Yukmouth, Too Short, Saafir and Noreaga. In 2000 Spice 1 left Jive to release The Last Dance featuring Bad Azz, C-Bo, Tha Outlawz and others, also in 2000 Spice 1 released the compilation The Playa Rich Project was released with songs from Outlawz, Jayo Felony, Tray Dee, Riderlife, Yukmouth, Sean T, B-Legit and others. In 2001 a second hits album was released, Ganked & Gaffled and a group album with Jayo Felony and Celly Cel called The Criminals. In 2002 Spice 1 released The Playa Rich Project 2 featuring Jayo Felony, Roscoe, Rappin 4-Tay, E-40, Tha Outlaw and others. In 2002 Spice 1 released Spiceberg Slim featuring Tray Dee, Tha Outlawz, Rappin 4-Tay, Jayo Felony. In 2003 the unofficial Spice 1 presents Thug Disease was released.
